Artists

|  Celia Hart

Celia works in a studio in a small village in the south-west corner of Suffolk, near the familiar landscape of South Cambridgeshire where she grew up and where she now creates block prints and designs inspired by the countryside of East Anglia.

Her prints of animals, birds, gardens and landscapes are hand printed using traditional techniques, inspired by Japanese and Chinese printmakers and the English tradition of the illustrative print. I make a limited number of each print (10 to 50) and because of subtle variations in the process each print is unique.

She studied design and illustration at Brighton College of Art and Design and started her career in publishing as a designer and art buyer for a major UK publisher. Since April 2015 she has been a regular contributor to Gardens Illustrated Magazine, illustrating Frank Ronan's monthly column with a linocut.
