Curwen Prints | A Very Special Archive Collection

The name Curwen has long been associated with Church Street Gallery. From its’ earliest days in the 1970's when the gallery sold prints by renowned painter, printmaker, illustrator, graphic artist, (and Saffron Walden based) Edward Bawden to the present day.

Over the years many artists inspired by Bawden and his contemporaries were drawn to make prints collaboratively with Curwen. In 2012 Curwen Contemporary hosted the hugely popular ‘Neo Bardfield’ exhibition at Church Street Gallery featuring works by 21 st Century Artists Mark Hearld, Angie Lewin, Carry Akroyd, Paul Catherall, Clare Curtis, Michael Kirkman, Alice Patullo, Ed Kluz, and others alongside works from the studio archive.

In 2020 we are therefore delighted to offer a special collection of Curwen works including exceptional lithographs along with linocuts, screen prints and other original works by artists associated with the studio.

Many of the prints come from sold out editions and are rarely available.
