I have put together a collection of 4 of my favourite cards by Rupert Shepherd.
'Cock and Hen' - 'The River Lea' 1975 - 'The Royal Exchange' 1975 - "Pigeons " The images published by Art Angels are all reproduced from his original linocuts.
Measurements – each card measures 170mm x 140mm in a portrait or landscape format as shown. These quality cards are all blank inside and come individually wrapped in biodegradeable packaging with a grey/brown craft envelope.

Rupert Shephard 1901 - 1992
Rupert Shephard attended the Slade School of Art in the late 1920s. He worked as schoolmaster by day but spent many evenings painting. He gained recognition and exhibited with the London Group and also enjoyed a solo exhibition in 1939. Like several other arists Rupert worked as a war artist and draughtsman between 1940 to 1945. Following the war, Rupert moved to South Africa and became director of the Art School located at the University of Cape Town. He returned to the UK in later life and was elected to the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. He continued to paint until his death in 1992.
