Hand Painted Large Platter by potter Simon Sharp - Contemporary Abstract Bright 27.5 cm
Earthenware clay hand thrown on the wheel and individually hand decorated with cobalt blue coloured slips on a light background with a red accent, wonderful vibrancy to the colours and glaze. Simon does not often do plates / platters - so if you like it, please don't hang about as it's sure to be snapped up quickly.
Size: This plate has a diameter of 27.5 cm - and is 4.5 cm deep at the edge of the rim... and is very heavy. A lovely statement piece by this contemporary potter.
Dishwasher Safe.
Each piece is hand thrown with precision and hand decorated by Simon who is the son of potter Pru Green. Each piece is totally unique. As every piece is different I have photographed each individually from several angles... so hard to photograph the pieces without reflections as the glaze has such a sheen!
