Learn the beautiful art of enamelling, with experienced educator and maker Sara Barker. Create your own decorative hangings to display together or give separately as gifts? It is up to you!

Guided through each stage of this lovely process you will get to test out the technique of applying enamel powders to a copper test piece, preparing you to design and make three quality decorative hanging charms.

Once the class is underway, there will be time to choose colour combinations, explore ideas for patterns and learn how the different enamel powders behave when layered and fired together.

After firing, you will be able to embellish your final pieces with upcycled glass beads and cord for hanging if you wish.

Enamel is powdered glass which fuses to metal when heated in a high temperature kiln, producing a rich and glossy surface ideal for lovers of shape, pattern and colour.
