LAURA J ATTEW
POSTCARDS FROM PARADISE

16th May - 14th June
Preview: Thursday 15th May, 6-8pm

Think endless palms, tropical birds and magical sunsets. Postcards from Paradise is a collection of paintings depicting moments from far away lands where the sun always shines.

Laura was inspired by a recent trip to Australia where she revisited her old life, and felt compelled to capture what she loves most about this beautiful land – where her heart longs for and where her soul belongs.

Laura is an emerging contemporary artist who brings the vibrant spirit of exotic birds and tropical landscapes to life from her charming barn conversion studio in North Essex.

Her unique perspective is shaped by 12 unforgettable years living in Australia and Singapore, where she developed a deep connection with the natural world. Being surrounded by lush tropical landscapes, and endless ocean views was incredibly inspiring and a gift. Drawing from her fascinating past as a global fashion buyer and her time in tropical paradises, Lauras artwork is a beautiful fusion of fashion, nature and cultural
influences.

Her pieces, especially her stunning exotic bird paintings, serve as colourful windows into her adventures abroad. Laura also loves story telling and enjoys taking on commissions and turning someone else’s brief and vision into a special piece of art that they can treasure
forever. She says that being a commission artist allows her to diversify and explore other styles of painting and draw on inspiration in forms she wouldn’t otherwise discover. This allows her to fully expand on her working process and continually grow as an artist.

There will be a preview event on Thursday 15th May from 6-8pm with free drinks and nibbles.

We will be adding Laura's new collection 'Postcards From Paradise' to our website in the coming weeks, but for now please enjoy a selection of Laura's past work, currently on show at Church Street Gallery.
