Sandra Kerns is an independent local jewellery designer and maker with her own studio in Little Samford. Sandras' aim is to provide unique items of personally designed, hand-made jewellery using semi-precious stones and silver.
She has always loved jewellery and working with her hands to create things. She started out by making beaded jewellery and then in 2011 was lucky enough to move to Cape Town, South Africa for nearly 3 years and had the opportunity of learning silversmith techniques in the workshop of The Gold of Africa Museum.
While there she was able to refine her existing techniques and make pieces from the smelting stage right through to the finished piece. She has also trained at The London Jewellery School and have attended a course at Van Cleef & Arpels in Paris.
All of her jewellery is hallmarked for its silver content of either 925 or 999, with her makers mark (SK) and that of the London Assay office.
