Printmaker | Vanessa Burroughes
East Anglia based Vanessa studied printed textiles at Middlesex University in London, specialising in designs for furnishing fabrics and wallpapers and have sold my dress fabrics in London, New York and Japan.
Her furnishing fabric clients include Libertys, Colefax and Fowler,John Lewis and G.P.and J Baker.
She is currently creating one off screen prints onto collaged grounds and Lino prints onto fine Japanese Papers or heavy Italian cartridge paper.
She works from paintings and drawings wherever I am, using sketches of still lives and landscapes to create a layered patina-either with carefully collaged grounds or intricate linocuts that are built up to create texture and depth.
